i was supposed to do some research about whether our emotions and perspectives are created and manipulated by the media but got disctracted so i decided to blog instead. anyway. check out this website. it's and essay written by Manuel Valenzuela about television and its impact on people. something like that. i briefly scanned through the essay (it's super long!) and found that it is really a good piece of work. haha. the url of this website is: http://www.thetruthseeker.co.uk/article.asp?ID=3905
today was generally a boring day. without a single maths lesson! ohGOSH. without maths lessons i seriously don't look forward to going to school! hahaha. :D maths rocks. i LOVE terminal velocity. hehehh.
anyway. first lesson we had physics double period. went to the theatrette where mr yau talked to us about skill 3 (again), and i almost fell asleep. can see that almost everyone was pretty bored, even michelle was drawing some kind of comic. quite cute, though. hehs.
went to the physics lab during the second period and worked on an experiment. it's about some pendulum bob and we were supposed to investigate the swing motion of the pendulum on a rule. oh. i lost my magnetic earrings twice in the phy lab! haha. lucky i managed to find it in the end. but i lost my green ones at home! what a pity. :(
after that we had english. which i totally HATE. not the teacher of course, but the dry, mundane lesson. i dread every single session of english because we are made to copy loads of information and i had to like waste countless pieces of fullscap. not as if i would refer to them while revising for examinations though. x| charmaine was so crappy today during english. we were supposed to brainstorm on ideas for an essay and plan the introductory paragraph. i was stoning the whole time and turned around to talk to anger. and charmaine was there doing some kind of permutation with the number of ways she can arrange her paragraphs. and she was like confusing mdm audra with the emotions and perspectives stuff. HAHA. i think our topic is a '4-box' answer. how are our emotions played upon by the media, how are they manipulated, how are our perspectives created by the media and how are they manipulated. it sounds quite cheem. have to think in four different aspects. i only wrote a few lines in class and the bell rang, signalling our jogging session! :D imagine my happiness! hahaahah.
jogging was okay, i was appalled by the number of e-portals in our school. they are supposed to be used by us cedarians to tap our ezlink card during jogging. sort of like attendance-taking. this means that either we do not jog as a class anymore or even if we jog as a class we have to slow down many times to tap our card. seriously, what's the use of this thing when our school is going to undergo prime like next year?? i don't understand.
had prawn mee for recess. i wasso hungry i managed to finish the entire bowl for once! haaha. after that was erm, lemme think.. social studies. mrs lim was rambling about how sad she was that some school's teacher got hold of her answer template for seq and sbq. haha. she was quite amusing. after that was chinese, during which we were supposed to write an essay about an interesting and unforgettable lesson. i was distracted by michelle and charmian lah. haha. if not i would have been able to complete my essay in class! hahaha. and the new issue of yi lin. the pictures inside are quite funny. lolx.
last lesson was CE. we were in our groups discussing about the project. yu sin was so funny lah! haha den our whole group discussed until we went to play some game on our calculators! haha. and we only managed to complete a small part of the script. it was quite good though. even if it seemed like some chinese drama serial. hahahaha. typical scenes -.-
went home straight after school! :) i am a guai kia. :D hahaha.
